The VAT room project required decommissioning of existing vats which were to be replaced by new equipment. Our team safely decommissioned and readied the vats for removal by expert crane operators through a newly opened ‘exit’ within the roof system.
Once removed, we were then clear to relocate the packing line which included rerouting and upgrading stainless steel pipework in their new position.
The new vats were then craned into the vat room, positioned, and made operational by our team. Our experienced team also installed new water and whey lines along with a new flow plate and ancillary pipework.
The redesigned layout allowed the client to upgrade their process equipment and pipework and make more efficient use of available space for their cheese process operations. With a limited timeframe for this project, we completed installation within the 4 week time frame (2 weeks while operational and two weeks shutdown) which meant production could resume with very little downtime for such a project.
